Lee's Civil War Ancestors
It is highly likely that all 8 of my great-great grandfathers fought in the Civil War. The nature of the service of 4 of them I am sure of, and have leads on 2 others. In addition, (at least) one of my great-great-great grandfathers served for a short time.
The music you are listening to is the Union "The Invalid Song", in honor of my great-great grandfather Bates, who served in the Invalid Corps in Michigan after being wounded. He was partially paralyzed for the rest of this life.
